To Philly and Back

My weekend was fabulous and began with a day trip to Philadelphia on Saturday. I decided to take the earlier bus which was a good idea considering how quickly the day flew by.

I met with a friend who lives in the heart of the city and lives in beautiful art deco building with gorgeous views of the city. We talked, walked, shopped, ate, drank (a little wine and cider with a cheese plate at Dandelion restaurant, then coffee later on), and by the end of the evening (which came upon us too fast), we were wiped out. I know I was.

No fashion photos here because it's kind of hard to take them when you are being touristy and have bad walking shoes on. I did however try on some clothes at the usual stores (HM, Anthropologie) but forgot to take photos. Oh well.

The postcard of the Dandelion restaurant below reminds me of Edward Gorey's illustrations and wondering if this was one of his works. I didn't get a chance to ask and may have to check out the restaurants website for any information.

Cheeseplate at the restaurant. I had a glass of temperanillo and friend had a Wagner's pear cider which was to die for:

We had dinner at a great sushi place then I had to catch a 9:30 train back to DC. I got back at 11:30 only to wait for DH because the route he too was closed off to fire engines and lots of traffic. By the time I got home, I went straight to bed and crashed hard.I had great time in Philly but on next visit I'd like to do a weekend with a little sightseeing thrown in.
