Has it really come to this?

Memorial Day has come and gone, I missed Rolling Thunder once again and I missed some good sales this weekend.  Maybe it was a good thing because our VW Passat died on us Friday.  Thank God we didn't go away this weekend or otherwise I would have been in the worst of moods ever.  Granted, we've been trying to save money but now we need a new car.  And guess what?  We ended up buying one Here's our new 2009 oxygen blue discontinued mini baby with 8220 miles on it and bought it at $20K.  I think we got a good deal on it:  

She sure is a beaut!!!  Goodbye Germany. Hello England!!  


By the way, I did end up chopping all my hair off like I wanted below.  

Another week gone by!!

Hair cut day is coming on Saturday. I can't wait. I did end up finding the hair cut I want but B kept saying that I would have to get it trimmed every 3 weeks. Men!! I know that already since I've had short all my life until just recently.  Here's the haircut I want:

I ended up winning the red dress from Ebay and am wearing it to work today. The dress is fabulous on and I'm thinking of investing in some more dresses for the summer. They are so easy to wear and all I have to do is throw on a jacket or a cardigan and make it work acceptable.  Currently waiting on a few items on ebay:

What Day Is It?

I can't remember the date.  Has it been 5 days since I posted?  Wow. Time sure flies as you get older, I just never realized that when I was young.  Youth had so many advantages and I sure was dumb enough not to know better.  But enough of the negativity.  I am so different than I was back in my 20's: more secure and confident.  Heck, I'm secure enough to post my pictures on a website. Now that's something.

My hair is truly horrible so I can't wait until the 22nd where I will chop all my hair of.  B will totally love as he always does.

Haven't shopped much but intent on finding some great dresses on ebay.  I have a bid on this particular dress (kind of retro 40's)so let's see what happens.

After a year and half of growing my hair to a boring bob, I've decided to cut it all off.  B will be happy about it since he's always loved short hair and I too agree.  I have to admit that my short hair DEFINES ME, kind of like Halle Berry and Winona Ryder going back short.  That reminds me, I  love this pic of Nony. That's my new hair cut for the summer:

Mother's Day Weekend!!!

Friday - Date with B.  Dinner at Jyoti and a movie (Iron Man 2).  Awesome movie.

Saturday - H's birthday out.  What to wear? Where to go?  What's wrong with me?  I can't seem to make any decisions lately.  I decided to try out a whole bunch of outfits and ended up wearing boring but safe black.

Sunday - MOTHER'S DAY!!!  My mom and aunt and cousin came down to dc. I made a fabulous brunch consisting of creme brulee french toast, turkey bacon, fruit salad, cheese and toast, juice and coffee.  Afterwards, we ended up walking around at Eastern Market.  It was a wonderful day. I hope my mom enjoyed it. 

A LONG MONDAY...

Do you have one of those days where you can't decide what to wear?  I know I do. Well, I thought this ensemble looked pretty nice. I do look much better with dark pants rather than a skirt.  This was one of my favorit looks and got lots of compliments at work.
