Rio Grande River Gorge - It is way too SCARY standing on top of the highway looking down. You can actually feel the ground move.

You can't capture the magnitude (or height) of this gorge. It's breathtaking. If you were afraid of heights you would be now.

 Drive to Santa Fe - the scenic route

yes, that is snow.

After driving down the national forest, the desert began to form again.  Note the beer bottles below. Apparently drinking is rampant in the desert.
