Boots!!!!

I have a love for boots. (No, I take that back. I have a LOVE for shoes. Period.) But my focus is on boots today and more specifically the vintage lace-up style which has been avoiding me like the plague.  Granted I never buy boots too often and when I do, I make them last for 2+ years if I can help it. So... I'm always hesitant to buy vintage boots and end up buying new ones from some retail store.  These are a few finds that I have not yet purchased. Why?  Because I'm afraid they might not fit correctly or they're too old or just a tad bit expensive for old boots.

The only thing about this seasons boots are that they ridiculously too long for me. I'm only 5'1" and the new trend over-the-knee styles make my legs heavier than they should (and I don't have skinny legs). So, I peruse the sites to find a reasonable priced vintage lace up boot that I can afford. Unfortunately, the boots above are over $50 which I guess I can wait on.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Some pics of Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear!

Just wanted to post a few pics from yesterday's Rally to Restore Sanity and / or Fear.  It was a bit too crazy out there for, just too many people and there was no way we could make it to the main stage area. I did end up taking a few photos and ended up going home to watch the Rally on tv. Enjoy!

Cardigans again.

last year's Anthropologie outfit - still love this look

random look:  I love the mod-ness of it all.
This I could totally do except I'll need to buy a skirt like that.

cardigan: ATL

I haven't had a chance to take outfit pics in a few days.  Sometimes, I get stuck especially during the work week even though I have so many clothes in the closet.  I have no excuses.

Cardigans

Whole outfit:  ATL
Belt:  thrifted
Shoes:  Anthropologie

Just like jackets, I am totally obsessed with cardigans, well mostly long boyfriend style cardigans.  Here is one of them. Not sure if I really like this outfit or maybe it's just the photo, but this will do.

More jackets

Today was just cold enough that I wore a thick sweater on my my bike to work.  It didn't keep me warm, but all the exertion did the trick.

I stopped by at Talbot's the other day with an old friend and tried on this teal jacket that looked pretty nice.  Unfortunately, the the price was not so nice so I think I'll wait on it. I wish I could have taken a picture of the back, but then my (flat) butt would have shown!!

Tomorrow should be an exciting day.  I'm planning on going to the Rally to Restore Sanity sponsored by good old John Stewart. It should be give me quite an opportunity to dress up, have B take some pictures of me and then me take pics of everyone else.   How fun!  And to top it off, it will be cool out so I hope to go there will be some interesting characters. Plus, it's Halloween weekend.   Can't wait to see those cosutmes.

Interesting outfit of the day

I've been into dressy jackets lately and came upon this one on a blog.  Because she has short hair, I particularly noticed the jacket even more. I'm always curious to see what others are wearing and this is something I could definitely wear. Unfortunately, I didn't save the blog and I so wish I had. I did save the picture though.

There is a similar tweed jacket at Ann Taylor Loft that I like and hope to find since it's on sale right now:

More to come soon.

Currently Listening to Muse: "Resistance". God I love this song.

Look at the stars...look how they shine for you...

Ah Coldplay. I forgot how good they were. It's too bad I never saw them in concert but I'm sure they will come around my neck of the woods eventually (they always do).

So yesterday was quite a shopping day but I wanted to post a picture of my black faux leather jacket that I got this past weekend from Macy's.  I got to say it looks pretty good.  Now all I need is a motorcycle to go with the jacket.

I should have worn my red heels or my red patent leather boots, but as usual I was trying stuff on for the camera, not really for going out.  Plus, it's been quite warm out.

This top was very unusual and I like the contrasting color:

More pics to come later.
